Festival: 30th Annual Magnificent River Rats Festival
The market is a free, outdoor shopping experience for the public and is designed to support artisans, home-based businesses, and non-profit groups.
Operating Hours:
Tuesday, June 30, 2025: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Wednesday, July 1, 2025: Immediately following the Athabasca District Chamber of Commerce Parade (approximately 11:30 AM)
Note: The parade begins at 10:00 AM and passes directly in front of the festival grounds.
Vendor Space & Setup
Set-Up Times:
Tuesday, June 30, 2025: 11:30AM
Wednesday, July 1, 2025: 8:30 AM
Vendors who arrive late or fail to be set up by the designated start times may forfeit their assigned space at the discretion of the Organizer, without refund.
Each Vendor will be provided with one (1) 10 ft x 10 ft space (equivalent to one parking stall). Vendors are responsible for supplying all equipment, including but not limited to tents, tables, chairs, weights, and displays. Vendors may choose to: Set up a tent within the allotted space Sell from the back of a vehicle (tailgate-style) Set up an uncovered table in the parking lot Requests for additional space must be approved in advance and require payment for an additional booth.
Important: There will be no overnight security. Vendors are strongly encouraged to remove tents and merchandise overnight and reset in the morning.
Food & Beverage Restriction:
NO FOOD OR DRINKS MAY BE SOLD INSIDE THE MARKETPLACE TENTS.
Food and beverages will be provided exclusively by approved food trucks.
Fees & Payment:
Vendor Fee: $100.00 CAD for the full two-day event (June 30 & July 1, 2025) The fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. If additional space is approved, an additional fee will apply.

Vendor space is not confirmed until full payment has been received.
Vendor Sharing Policy:
Vendors wishing to share a tent or space must: Arrange sharing independently Submit one (1) application and one (1) payment Provide the names of all vendors and businesses operating in the shared space Two vendors from the same company or selling identical products will not be permitted.
Vendor Selection & Capacity:
Vendors are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited to 29 vendors/tents. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent by email once payment is received.
Parking & Vehicle Access
General vendor parking is not available. Vendors may temporarily pull into the paved parking lot for setup and takedown. Arrangements may be made for a vendor’s vehicle to remain within their assigned stall, provided it does not exceed the allotted 10 ft x 10 ft space.
Festival Access:
Festival admission is FREE to the public. Safety gates will be in place, but entry is free. Food vendors and the marketplace will be located outside the festival gates, though the area is open and accessible.
Liability & Responsibility:
The Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Vendors participate at their own risk and are responsible for the safety and security of their displays, merchandise, and equipment. Vendors must comply with all municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
